ABC Girls Only Skateboarding Sessions
At the start 2017 we ran FREE Girls only sessions at ‘The Pioneer’ In-door skate park in St. Albans with funding from St.Albans Council. As these sessions were so well attended and everyone had such a great time we are continuing the them for another term, so come and join us every Monday from 24th April till 17th July 4:30pm-5:30pm.
Girls of any age and ability are welcome to come along and if you dont have your own equipment that’s ok as we provide Skateboards and Safety equipment for you and with expert coaches who have DBS, First Aid, Safeguarding children qualification and insurance and are Sponsored skateboarders who are as passionate about skateboarding as they are about teaching.you are in good hands with ABC.
Beginners will start with the fundamentals such as:
- Finding out their stance (Regular or Goofy)
- Correct foot positioning
- How to push and stop properly
- Balancing on the skateboard
- Turning on the floor and ramps
- Going down and dropping in on “flat banks” and “quarter pipes”
More advanced skaters will work on:
- Altering and progressing current techniques
- Learning skills that ultimately achieve a number of larger goals
- Progressing to more advanced tricks and skills under the guidance of the coach.
